Trevor Noah explains in the most hilarious way why a White South African woman was sent to prison for 3 years for being racist
A White South African woman got sentenced to three years in prison for being extremely racist, but some people feel it was not necessary to lock her up. And Trevor Noah has explained in his uniquely funny way, why the woman was locked up.

Vicki Momberg's car was broken into in South Africa and when two policemen arrived to attend to the matter, she flipped on the Black policemen and insisted they leave. She said she wanted a policeman of any other colour to attend to her as long as he wasn't Black. But she didn't stop there. She went on to call the men a derogatory word - Kaffir, 48 times
She said: "I'm happy for a white person to assist me or a coloured person or an Indian person. I do not want a black person to assist me.
"If I see a Kaffir, I will drive him over. If I have a gun, I will shoot everybody."

Kaffir is a very racist word in South Africa. It's the equivalent of "Nigger" in America, but Kaffir is even worse and more demeaning. It is the most offensive racial slur in South Africa.

Vicki reportedly called the policemen "Kaffir" 48 good times and that led to her being imprisoned for racist speech.

On Wednesday, she was sentenced to three years in prison, with one year suspended. She is the first person in South Africa to be sent to prison for using racist language against someone, according to prosecutors and legal experts.

Some people condemned the sentence and said it was wrong to imprison anyone for free speech. But others said she crossed the line and went beyond what can be accepted as free speech.

Trevor Noah explained the situation on his show and made sure to add a good dose of humour to it as is his usual way.
